Subsidiaries and partners

Ken James is Chair of Trustees for the Lady Verdin Trust, a subsidiary of Choice Support. Ken also sits on Choice Support's Board. He is a retired head of service for people with disabilities.

We work with subsidiary organisations, some of which go on to merge fully with Choice Support.

Others continue as separate organisations, with their own management structures, yet sharing our values and benefitting from the economies of scale that a larger organisation can offer.

  • The Lady Verdin Trust (LVT) joined the Choice Support group as a subsidiary in 2014. It has supported people living in south Cheshire, particularly Crewe & Nantwich, since 1982.
  • Respond formed a strategic alliance with Choice Support in 2017. Formed in 1991, Respond works to lessen the effect of trauma and abuse on people with learning disabilities and/or autism, their families and supporters, through psychotherapy, advice, training, education and research.

In 2010 Signature Care, a social care provider based in Hampshire, merged with Choice Support, followed by The Roy Kinnear Charitable Foundation in 2013. The Foundation's Roy Kinnear House, in Twickenham - which we now manage - supports people with profound and complex learning and physical disabilities who need nursing care, a high degree of personal care and significant social support.

Choice Support is seeking partnerships with like-minded organisations. If you share our values and would like to explore working in partnership with us, please get in touch.
