What we're looking for

Openness and sharing good practice were encouraged from Choice Support staff attending our recent Culture for Care workshop.

If like us you are committed to improving the lives of people with a disability then we’d love to hear from you.

Could this be you?  Watch this video to find out more about working for us.

“Choice Support doesn’t mind if you’ve worked in a care and support role before or not. What is important is your attitude and your values. If those are right we will give you the training, mentoring and support you need to succeed.”

Values

We aim to be: safe, respectful, empowering, person-centred, ambitious, honest, collaborative, innovative and adaptable.

Safe

We recognise our duty to ensure the safety of the people we support. We also understand that there are risks in a normal life, and we manage those risks while respecting the freedom of the individual.

Respectful

We treat the people we support and our staff with dignity and compassion.

Empowering

We believe that the people we support have the same rights as everyone else, and should have as much choice and independence as possible.

Person-centred

We put the person at the centre of all we do. We recognise people’s differences, see the potential in everyone and value people’s unique contribution.

Ambitious

We are ambitious for the people we support and see possibilities, not limitations. We want Choice Support to be the best we can be and to benefit as many people as possible.

Honest

We are open with the people we support, their families and our staff. We admit when things go wrong and learn from them.

Collaborative

Our staff work in teams with common goals to improve the lives of everyone who uses our services. We work in partnership with the people we support and their families to provide the best possible services.

Innovative

We are willing to try new things for the benefit of the people we support. We encourage our staff to be creative and flexible.

Adaptable

We respond to changing needs and circumstances, and look for ways to learn and improve as an organisation.

Some of the people we support have their own cars and we are often looking for car drivers to take people out and about.

"Making a difference to the people we support, that is what it's all about! Working for Choice Support was the best opportunity given to me. I learn something different every day mainly from the people we support. What great people, how lucky are we to support them?! I have a great passion for what I do and work alongside a fantastic team! I have always received great support and guidance from management and colleagues which means a lot. I cannot praise Choice Support enough! Fantastic place to work." Emma Evans, Team Manager
