Choice Support awarded Investors in People silver status

Choice Support has been awarded Investors in People (IIP) silver status. We are very pleased to have jumped two levels from basic to silver status since our last assessment, missing out bronze.

IIP interviewed a representative sample of 108 people from a total of approximately 1,584 staff and trustees, based at over 150 locations around the UK.

Extracts from the assessment report include:

“The on-going continual improvement through rigorous quality assurance, effective leadership and the willingness to seek and receive feedback from all stakeholders is commendable and is evident in many areas of the organisation.”

“Social care is a challenging sector and people at Choice Support are committed and work hard.”

“Investment in learning and development to deliver high quality services through well trained and motived staff remains a key priority within Choice Support and is a strength of the organisation.”

“The ethos of the organisation is entirely focused around providing person centred care and this is evident at all levels and in all regions.  People could describe the culture and values of Choice Support and are clearly committed to what they do.”

"There has been a noticeable increase in training at first line manager and deputy level and for everyone in areas such as safeguarding and whistleblowing. The impact of this training, in terms of the understanding of the importance of safeguarding and the duty of everyone to report concerns about appropriate care was very evident during the IIP interviews."

Choice Support's Director of Quality Sarah Maguire commented:
"The assessor said that she was really impressed with the values and culture of the organisation – this shone through in our staff attitude."
