Shared lives carers

Our shared lives scheme provides care, support and accommodation to adults of any age who need help with everyday living. This could be someone with a learning disability, dementia, mental health issues or with another disability.

As a shared lives approved carer you would share your home with a person needing support who would effectively be an extended member of your family.

All shared lives carers are supported by one of our qualified workers who provide support and guidance.

“Being a shared lives carer is less like having a job and more like having an additional family member who is an integral part of your life”

Our scheme focuses on maximising the independence of people we support in a supportive family home and not being alone.

We are looking for carers from a range of backgrounds with different family circumstances. If you have a spare room in your home and you’d like to explore this further we’d love to hear from you.
