Homes Manager
About the role:
As a Homes Manager you will provide robust leadership and management to teams of Support Workers ensuring the support delivered is of a high standard and meets CQC compliance regulations. You will also provide ‘hands on’ support for 80% of your working week.
Individuals are supported to live in their own homes and may share with others; they have a variety of needs and have support to plan their lives from an established staff team. People receiving support enjoy a variety of activities both inside and outside their home. Experience should include learning disabilities & mental health needs. Knowledge in supporting people with similar needs would be an advantage.
You must be skilled in managing flexible rotas and have a positive approach to promoting social inclusion.
You should have at least two years’ experience and a thorough understanding of working with people in a community setting and supporting individuals, some with challenging behaviour. You will be skilled in all aspects of management and will have experience of managing staff teams. IT literacy and an ability to communicate effectively and appropriately; both verbally and in writing is required. This will include close working and communicating with key professionals including Care Managers, Commissioners, advocates, day services and specialist teams. You will also be able to demonstrate tact, sensitivity and diplomacy when liaising with the people we support and their families. The ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines is also essential.
You will be responsible for developing and delivering flexible and personalised support that meets the needs and aspirations of individuals living in their own homes. In addition, you will also need to demonstrate a good all-round working knowledge of current CQC legislation and housing-related support as well as a sound knowledge of budgets and time management.

Full time- 39 hours per week.

Crewe, Cheshire.
About you:
A thorough understanding of the issues which face people with a learning disability and/or mental health difficulties including a working knowledge of the Health and Social Care Act 2008.
Proven leadership ability, proven skills in budget control, quality assurance, rota writing supervision, sickness absence management, performance management and team building.
A relevant qualification – NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care is desirable. Applicants will preferably be a car driver/owner.
