About the role:
This is a 1 year fixed term contract, you will have at least two years’ experience of working as a People Advisor in a similar role, including:
Supporting and advising managers to deal with a wide range of employee relations matters such as: Disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence, capability, whistleblowing, managing probation and flexible working.
Providing a consistent, effective and confidential service for the managers and staff of the Choice Support Group within agreed timescales.
Ensuring compliance with Choice Support policies and procedures and current employment law providing advice to managers on policies and procedures.
Supporting line managers in all aspects of the timely recruitment and selection of staff
There is also the opportunity to develop and be involved in project work such as Health and Wellbeing.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Location: Kent, home based - covering the South East but must be prepared to work from Choice support office (in Maidstone) and attend services as required.
About you:
We are looking for someone who can work on their own initiative, is hard working, highly motivated and organised. The workload for this role is busy and varied and it is important that you can therefore demonstrate resilience, a positive energy, an ability to prioritise your workload and remain calm despite different demands on your time.
It is important that you are a strong team player, and you will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
You will have excellent IT skills, using Microsoft office packages, particularly outlook, word, excel, Sharepoint and the internet and will have had experience of and be comfortable with working with computerised HR databases.
You will ideally have already worked in a remote role (working mostly from home), will have a suitable workplace to use at home and be happy to do this.
Please note that we are unable to offer sponsorship, please only apply if you can work in the UK. This is a homeworking role, but you will be required to travel to attend some meetings, team-days and services in Bromley, Kent, London & Hampshire. Ideally you will be based in the Kent area, you will have access to a car and be comfortable/willing to travel to our offices if/when required.
