Support Worker (Male)
We’re looking for experienced and compassionate Male Support Workers who are ready to take on a rewarding but challenging role—helping others live life to the fullest.
If you’ve supported people with complex needs before, enjoy staying active, and want to make a real impact—this could be the role for you.
About the role:
This is a challenging but deeply fulfilling position, supporting two adult males with learning disabilities and behaviours that may challenge. You’ll play a vital part in helping them gain independence, enjoy meaningful activities, and feel confident in their daily lives.
You’ll support them with everyday living—personal care, meal prep, community engagement, and physical activity—while also managing behaviours that require patience, skill, and understanding.
There’s a strong focus on promoting independence and enjoying life. You’ll accompany the people we support to things like voluntary jobs, bowling, line dancing, cycling, and more. Every day is different, and your presence will make a big difference.
Hours:
Shifts are on a 24/7 rota basis. Day shifts are 10am–4pm, with sleep-in shifts from 4pm–10am. Flexibility and reliability are essential.
Location:
Located close to central Bromley—easy access to all major bus routes, just a 5-minute walk from the nearest stop. There’s also free parking on site and local shops nearby.
About you:
We’re looking for someone who has previous experience supporting people with learning disabilities and behaviours that challenge. This role requires emotional resilience, good judgement, and a calm, confident approach.
We’ll provide extra training and support to help you succeed if you:
- Have a positive, respectful attitude and genuine empathy for the people you support.
- Are experienced in working in challenging support environments.
- Can work well as part of a team and communicate clearly.
- Are patient, adaptable, and confident in managing tough situations.
- Are organised, with good time management skills.
