Support Worker
Could you support someone to live more independently and do the things they enjoy? We are looking for compassionate and caring people to join our team, to help people be part of their local community and live happily in their own homes.
About the role:
We are recruiting a full time support worker for our supported living service in Canterbury. You will be supporting 4 adults with learning disabilities and autism with varying communication needs.
You will be helping make a real difference to people’s lives by supporting with every day tasks to promote independence such as shopping, health appointments, personal care and finances. You will also be supporting vulnerable adults to live a full life by supporting with activities such as going to the zoo, arts and crafts clubs, swimming and holidays.
You need to have good, clear communication skills due to supporting individuals who are non verbal and you would need to be able to support with long health walks (up to 2 hours at a time), bike rides and swimming.
Hours:
7am-1pm,
8am-3.30pm
12.30-8pm and 1-10pm.
10am-5.30pm on Saturdays and Sundays only.
Location:
This service is located in Chartham, Canterbury. It is close to both a bus stop and train station providing easy access.
