An exciting announcement
Choice Support is merging with the social care charity, Three Cs.
Choice Support is a charitable community benefit society that provides support and housing for autistic people, people with learning disabilities, and mental health needs.
Three Cs is a registered charity that provides support and housing for autistic people, people with learning disabilities, and mental health needs.
The combined organisation will have an annual turnover of £80 million, providing support to 2700 people and employing 2500 staff.
Oliver Mills, Choice Support’s Chair says:
“We are excited to be joining together with Three Cs, whose purpose and vision is closely aligned with our own. We believe that we will have more impact to deliver better lives for people if we work together. We look forward to benefiting from Three Cs complementary skills and expertise and sharing our own.”
Anusha Everson, Three Cs Chair says:
“For 30+ years Three Cs has worked in the best interest of the people we support. Our commitment and capability to achieve that has grown thanks to our exceptional staff and volunteers. We see the challenges in the sector and have considered what is in the best interest of achieving more of what the people we support want for themselves. Now feels like the right time to take the next step and we are pleased that this is with another organisation whose roots, values and goals match well with ours. We are looking forward to merging with Choice Support and building on our collective strengths.”
Sarah Maguire, Choice Support’s CEO says:
“Choice Support and Three Cs share common values and work in complementary areas. The merger will benefit both organisations and our beneficiaries. It will deliver clear economies of scale and opportunities to share expertise that will make the combined organisation stronger and better able to serve the people that we support.
The people both organisations support will not see any major change in their day-to-day support. We remain focussed on delivering high quality services for people and providing them with opportunities for happiness."
Margaret Spiers, Three Cs Interim CEO says:
“Three Cs and Choice Support are closely aligned in terms of history, values and vision, and this merger gives us both the opportunity to build a stronger organisation where we can learn from each other’s strengths. Together we will continue to bring choices to life for the people we support.”
Both organisations are solvent and financially viable. There are no plans for service closures or cuts to front-line staff as a result of the merger.
The merger will complete on 1 April 2024 with Three Cs being absorbed into Choice Support and two Trustees from Three Cs joining the Board of Choice Support.
