About us
Housing and living
We provide support to people living in their own homes. Where you live may be described as a service in registered care, supported living or outreach. To us, what is most important is that it’s your home.
Our focus is on people and not the type of service
Whatever is happening in your life, your home is your sanctuary. Having the right place to live with the right support can help people take more control over their own lives. This may mean helping you to find a better place to live, making adaptations to your existing home or finding the right technology to enable you to do more for yourself.
We have a housing team who work closely with our support staff to share their specialist knowledge. The team includes housing officers, maintenance staff and a qualified surveyor.
Building strong, long-term relationships with local commissioners and stakeholders, like family members, are key to understanding the housing needs of the people we support.
Building development
People needing support, and their families, often struggle to get the right advice on housing and support. It can be very complicated. Our housing team can provide some sign posting advice to help you to find individual housing solutions and make things simpler.
We are currently focusing our building development to meet the NHS Transforming Care programme. Transforming Care aims to help people with the highest support needs to live in the community, with the right support, and close to home. You can read more about our latest developments below.
Management
Where we are responsible our housing officers manage tenancies, do tenancy sign ups, collect rent, and oversee all housing management issues. They are available to meet with tenants and answer any queries regarding their tenancy. We also manage the tenancies for some people supported by other service providers. Read about housing management here.
Quality
We are committed to providing high quality services for the people we support that meet the Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards.
We capture best practice information that can be shared with others and use a traffic light system to indicate how well our services are performing.
Our ‘Quality Checkers’- are people with lived experience of using support services- who talk to people we support in their homes to find out what is good, and what could be better in our services.
Maintenance
We have a dedicated maintenance team who ensure that all our properties are safe, secure and maintained to a high quality that is sustainable over a long time. We have approved contractors, to carry out other works. They carry out repairs and give specialist advice on adaptations or specialist equipment required.
