Independent Lifestyles
Independent Lifestyles provides people on the autistic spectrum with one-to-one support in their homes and in the community.
Whether you need a few hours’ support each week, or a little more to help you meet a specific goal, we can provide support that suits you. We'll work with you to create a personalised support plan, which we’ll regularly review. That means everything we do focuses on what matters in your life. For example, we can support you:
- with daily skills such as budgeting, shopping, cooking and cleaning
- to develop your self-esteem
- go to college or to your job
- to learn new skills and build confidence
- to look after yourself (including personal care).
Independent Lifestyles can improve your life, I recommend Choice Support for a better life. I find them very helpful and I have gained confidence and independence.
About our support
You will have your own personalised support plan that is created with you. We will agree your goals and together we'll review them regularly.
You'll get one-to-one support and we'll always ask you if you are happy with the support. You can also help us to select your new support staff.
How do I get support from you?
This service is for people who have an autistic spectrum condition.
Most people we support have a formal diagnosis. Those who do not have a diagnosis must need specialist support due to their social and communication difficulties characteristic of autistic spectrum conditions.
We cover South East London and support can be funded through social services, mental health teams and direct payments, or paid for privately by people accessing the support.
