Choice Support have partnered with five other social care organisations to help shape the future of social care.
Collectively known as More Than A Provider (MTAP), we have created a list of policy recommendations that we believe will change social care for the better.
Our policy recommendations will be shared locally and nationally, to help raise awareness of social care issues and change lives. People being supported, and staff, will be able to see what the future of social care can look like.
Some of the policies More Than A Provider is calling for include social care pay to align with NHS pay bands, and a new initiative to employ more young people with learning disabilities and from the autistic community. We are also asking to include supported housing in local planning targets, which will increase the community's role and involvement in people's support.
