Coronavirus
The Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation is changing rapidly and will continue to do so for some time. We are closely monitoring Government guidance to enable us to protect our staff and people we support, who will continue to need us throughout this outbreak.
As far as possible we will be operating as normal. However, we know we will have to work in some different ways, as the situation changes. The organisation has business continuity plans that are being regularly monitored, to ensure that all critical organisational functions continue. This includes exploring options for covering increased staff sickness.
Things we’ve set up in response include:
- a dedicated Coronavirus staff helpline, which is being run by our Learning and Development team, as additional support for our staff and to answer all their queries
- launching a well-being hub for staff and people we support to give everyone ideas about keeping healthy and well during this time
- we are recruiting new support workers to start working to cover for staff absence during self isolation
- updating our managers in a daily managers’ briefing - to give the latest Government advice, useful information and to ensure we share good practice across the whole of Choice Support.
All our staff will be receiving regular guidance from their senior managers, so please get in touch with your local manager if you have any further concerns or queries, or you could email us here.
