You need to arrive by 9.30am. You will go home by 4pm (at Erith, you can leave from 3.40pm). If you are going to be late or are sick, you must call your branch of Tuck by Truck.

Find out what you will be doing when you join Tuck by Truck as a volunteer or delivery assistant.
There’s so much to do here and learn. The staff will help you every step of the way and will support you to feel settled.
- You will learn new skills and build your confidence.
- You will meet new friends.
- You will build your CV with real work experience.
- You can progress to paid work as a delivery assistant.
- We will support you to find volunteering and work experience opportunities at other businesses.
You may join us as a volunteer or get a paid role as a delivery assistant. Each role is different.
Volunteers:
- price the snacks
- pack the boxes
- prepare cash for the bank
- make visits to the bank...and more!
Delivery assistants:
- load the vans with the trays
- do safety checks on the van
- deal with customer requests
- deliver the snack trays to local businesses
- check cash received against snack sales
- and get paid!
Staff will support you to understand your benefits. They will do this in line with permitted work rules and employment law.
You’ll also get to meet new people and make new friends.
Personal goals
We will work with you to find out what things you want to do at Tuck by Truck. These are called goals. A goal might be to learn how to pack a snack box by yourself, or doing some work experience. Whatever your goals are, we will help you work towards them.
Finding work
We believe that, with the right support, anyone can get a job. We will give you the skills and the confidence you need to help you do this.
- You will be supported to put together a CV.
- We will help you to find voluntary work trials to give you work experience and confidence.
- We will support you to find work in other businesses.
- We will give you ongoing support in your new job.

Times of the day
Lunch
You will need to bring a packed lunch. If you drink tea or coffee, please bring in money for drinks. As we sell snacks and canned drinks, we have lots you may buy, just bring in some money!
