Love is...
The Brelade Players, a performance group in Brighton and Hove, came up with words and artwork, which was incorporated into a beautiful love poem.
The Brelade Players are a performance group, based in Brighton & Hove. The Players rehearse weekly, with support from Katie Reid (CMG Healthcare Facilitator) and Family Thing Dance Company.
Recently the Players had a couple of sessions where they explored love and acceptance. Each person came up with creative words and artwork which was incorporated into a beautiful love poem:
Love is, when we kiss making sure we are both ok
Or listening to music together all day
Love is family and friends, laughter and fun
Hugging each other, holding tight til we are done.
Love is looking for that special someone to date
Going for meals out, trying not to be late
Love is going to a wedding and being the best man
Helping out the groom, keeping the rings in hand
Love is your friends, going out or staying in
Sharing wine and chocolate hearts so we can both win
Love is fast cars and dogs cause they make me smile
Or going to Pizza Hut when I've not left my flat in a while
Love is going out, being and holidaying together
or being members of the Brelade Players forever
Love is caring for the people you love,
girlfriends, family and all the above
Love is the people we care about and care about us too
Or laughing, dancing, kissing the day through
Love is being romantic and holding hands
It's about being accepted for who I am
Love is being there and sharing things with each other
getting up making tea for my dad and mother
Love is everyone being around me like family and friends
and sharing things with each other until the very end
Love is seeing a girlfriend become a wife sharing your hobbies
and smiling for the rest of your life
Love is eys meeting and you can't help but grin
Or making them laugh no matter what mood they are in
Love is different for everyone you see
But love is as special to you as it is to me
So hold it close next to your heart
And it will be as strong at the end as it was at the start.
