Bank Support Worker

About the role:
This is a 6 bed registered care home that is home to 6 people living with learning disabilities and aging health needs. Out of the 6 residents 4 are wheelchair users.
The people we support at this service like to go out into the community, participate in indoor activities, and visit family members and friends.
There is a high level of personal care and moving and assisting support required.
The role includes supporting with all personal care needs, moving and handling people, cleaning, laundry, shopping, food preparation, cooking, and helping people with eating and drinking. Administering medication, writing care plans, risk assessments etc and supporting the manager to ensure the service run smoothly and that the people are safe, receive quality care and enjoy happy lives.
Hours:
Bank (Flexible)
Shifts will vary around the needs of the people we support. Staff are required to work earlies, lates, waking nights and sleep ins and a share of weekends and bank holidays.
Location:
Situated in Ilford with parking on the road side. This service is close to busses and 10-minute walk from Newbury Park station.
About you:
You must be kind, patient, a good communicator and go above and beyond to ensure the wellbeing and happiness of the people we support. Previous experience in social care is required and a minimum of NVQ level 2 or equivalent qualification.
