Community Support Worker
The Community Support team in Bexley are in search of a new team member. Could it be you?
About the role:
This is a lone working community role and requires the successful candidate to be able to work with confidence on their own initiative. You will be required to manage your own case load of clients in various community settings. The role is varied and can include supporting clients with household admin and correspondence, benefit compliance, budgeting and light cleaning duties
The role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise appropriately with external agencies and the person you are supporting's network. Flexibility is also a key part of this role; plans will often need to be changed at short notice, and the successful candidate will need to have good time management skills. You will be part of a team that promotes a culture of openness and honesty where all staff work to improve the lives of the people we support.
Hours:
Full time (39).
Monday – Thursday 09:00am – 17.00pm
Fridays 09.00 – 16.00pm

For this role you will cover multiple areas across Bexley.
About you:
The ideal candidate will need to be flexible, confident in travelling around the borough by the public transport or in their own vehicle.
You must be enthusiastic and have a positive attitude towards supporting people with learning disabilities/ physical disabilities/mental health issues and autism to lead independent and fulfilling lives.
Good communication skills (both written and oral), including listening skills and the ability to communicate effectively with the people we support using a variety of different methods as required.
You must be ambitious for the people we support and willing to support them in whatever activities they choose to do.
Full driving licence is preferred for this role.
