Support Worker

About the role:
We are looking for calm and resourceful support workers to join our friendly team in Tonbridge. You will be supporting one adult to live his life the way he wants to. He enjoys being out and about swimming, trampolining, and going for long drives. He also loves Shrek, music, dancing and being tickled.
You will be part of a team that works closely with his family and professionals to enable him to be happy, healthy and to be successful in achieving his wishes and aspirations.
Each day can be different when responding to the individual’s needs, from taking part in activities and games to supporting to maintain the home environment. You will provide 2-1 focused care and support which includes some personal care.
We aim to create a positive, relaxed home environment where the people we support feel safe, supported & listened to. You will be guided by senior staff members to establish appropriate boundaries, manage behaviours effectively and nurture the people we support to live the life they choose.
Hours:
Full time (39 hours) variety of shifts available, from early/lates/long days/sleep ins.
About you:
You will ideally be looking for a full-time position, you must be patient and willing to use technology and symbols to enhance the individual’s communication. You need drive and enthusiasm to ensure the individuals has opportunities to enhance his life experiences.
A full UK manual driving licence is required for this role.
For this role, you must be comfortable with swimming as this is an important part of the persons routine. It is essential that you have a full valid manual UK licence to drive the individual’s vehicle.
