An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Support Worker to lead a dedicated team supporting an individual living in his own home in Plumstead.
The individual receives 24/7 support on a 1:2:1 basis. He benefits from sleep‑in support overnight, although assistance may sometimes be required to help manage seizures.
Being out and about every day is an important part of his life, with regular outings to museums, galleries and other places of interest, as well as taking an active role in running his own home.
As a Senior Support Worker, you will provide strong practice leadership to the staff team while also delivering hands‑on support when needed. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate record keeping and incident reporting and will work closely with the Complex Care Coordinator on all aspects of team oversight. Confidence in liaising with a range of multidisciplinary professionals is essential, while experience working with PBS plans is desirable but not essential.
Hours
This is a part time position 21 hours per week, supporting a 24/7 shifts may include day shifts (10:00am–5:00pm), evening shifts (5:00pm–10:00pm), and sleep-in shifts with support (10:00pm–10:00am), or a combination of these.

Plumstead, London, free parking is available on site.
About You
We are looking for someone enthusiastic, dedicated and able to think creatively, with a good sense of humour and a positive approach to supporting others. You should feel confident leading by example, staying organised and communicating effectively. You will need to be comfortable supporting someone with complex needs, including seizure management. A Health and Social Care qualification at NVQ Diploma Level 3 (or equivalent) is desirable. Please note this role requires the post holder to hold a full UK driving licence.
