Support Worker
We are currently looking to grow our already establish and dedicated team of support workers at Choice Support.
About the role:
We are currently looking for a part time support worker to deliver person centred care and support to 4 individuals who present high levels of complex needs and challenging behaviours associated with learning disabilities and autism.
We will train you to provide personalised support and follow individual support plans to meet the needs and aspirations of each person. The focus is developing independent living skills: personal hygiene, meal preparation, exercise, leisure activities, socialising – the daily routine of regular life.
This will also include planning alongside members of the person’s circle of support to enable individuals to be happy, healthy and to be successful in achieving their wishes and aspirations.
Hours:
Part time hours available- 36 per week.
Shifts vary from 7am-2pm, 9am-2pm, 2pm-9pm.
Long days are available.
Night shift 9pm-7am.
Location:
This service is located in Ossett, Wakefield. It has free off street parking and is close to public transport.
About you:
Your professional and flexible nature will allow you to positively impact on those who you support and the rest of the team around you, allowing you to flourish and develop in this diverse and rewarding role.
Previous experience is ideal but not essential. As long as you are calm, patient and have the ability to work well under pressure. We offer full training and induction to support you in your role.
