Support Worker

A full UK manual licence is required for this role!
About the role:
For this role you will be supporting 2 adults with learning disabilities. One gentlemen with Downs Syndrome, and a female with epilepsy. Your aim is to support them to live safe and comfortably in their own home. From encouraging and assisting them to social activities in the community, to providing physical and emotional care, you will help them to feel safe, secure, and well rested, ensuring they are able to face the day ahead.
The people we support at this service love music and discos, films and enjoy a meal out as well as watching TV and enjoy doing art and crafts. So if you have similar interest this would be a great advantage.
Hours:
Full & part time positions available.
This is a 24/7 service with a variety of shifts and hours available.
You will be required to work two weekends out of 4 and Sleep-ins are to be worked.
Location:
This service is a stones throw away from Congleton train station and also on a bus route. Additional free off street parking is also available.
About you:
The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion about working within this sector, looking to make a difference to the people we support and will be looking for a challenging but rewarding role.
We’re not looking for any kind of specific experience. It is your personality and values that will make you a good fit for the role and our organisation. We will train and develop you to become a great support worker if you:
- have genuine empathy for the people we support, with the positivity, patience, and resilience to support them through difficult times.
- enjoy teamwork and take pride in getting a job done well alongside your colleagues.
- have excellent face to face communication skills and a good standard of literacy.
- have good time management skills and the ability to prioritise your own workload.
Previous experience in this role is preferred but not essential as full training is provided by our dedicated training team.
A full UK manual drivers license is required for the role!
