Female Support Worker

About the role:
At this service you will support a young lady living in her own home. She has a busy and varied life and communicates using a combination of BSL, Makaton, finger spell and her computer to engage. Therefore you must be patient and have good communication skills.
She has her own car that you will be required to drive, so you will need a full UK driving licence. The focus of the role is to support this lady with her daily routines and day to day health and wellbeing needs, as well providing and supporting opportunities to have fun and build her independence. She attends rare breeds centre four days a week and, enjoys swimming, socialising, dancing, cooking, word searches, going for walks and art and crafts.
Hours:
Full time position available. 39 hours per week.
About you:
We are looking for someone that likes variety in their work and has a passion for helping others. Ideally you will be confident in using Finger Spell, Makaton or British Sign Language or be willing to learn. It is important that you have a kind and caring nature, be patient and have a fun and can-do attitude.
You must be able to work within a team & on your own as this can vary. You do not need to have previous experience - we would love to hear from you if you think your personality and values that would make you a good fit for the role and our organisation. We train & develop all of our staff to become a great Support Workers.
You must hold a full UK Driving Licence.
