Team Leader
We are looking for a dynamic Team Leader to support the Supported Living Manager to oversee the running of a supported living service in Congleton.
About the role:
As Team Leader you will coordinate the delivery of support to people primarily within a specified service setting to enable people to lead independent and fulfilling lives. You will provide leadership and support to teams of Support Workers including Bank Support Workers ensuring agreed outcomes are achieved, high quality standards are maintained and individual staff members are happy with their employment at Choice Support. You will organise and provide support to people to help them become valued citizens and contributing members of their local community.
Part of the role will be administration work supporting the Registered Manager, to include rota management, auditing, providing monthly/quarterly reports, staff supervisions, monitoring training and ensuring documentation is to the required standard, this will be approx. 50% of hours, the other 50% will be working directly supporting people and acting as a positive role model for the people supported and the staff team.
You will be working across 2 services one is a two-bedroom bungalow shared by male and female in their 70’s, supported 24/7 with waking nights. The other is a three bedroomed detached houses, the service is shared with two people in 40’s 24/7 with sleep- ins.

Full time hours- 39 per week.

The service is located in Congleton, Cheshire.
About you:
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and motivating a staff team to work with a positive and proactive culture to identify and support the needs of each tenant and provide genuinely Tenant-Centred support.
This is an exciting role for someone to develop their skills whilst being fully supported by the Registered Manager.
We are looking for someone with experience of working in social care and at supervisory level, excellent verbal & written communication skills and excellent IT Skills. Experience in Mental health, Dementia and Alzheimer is preferable. You will have a proven ability to support and supervise others and develop their coaching skills and have an understanding of effective budget management.
A minimum of two years’ experience of supported living is essential, as is a demonstrable track record of working with this client group. You will need a good knowledge of the CQC standards, and the ability to work with all internal and external agencies, and experience of promoting relationships and community connections for people we support.
A relevant qualification is not required but you must be committed to working towards your level 3.
