Team Manager (Mental Health Supported Living)
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Team Manager to lead a small, established registered care home supporting adults with a primary mental health diagnosis.
This is a hands‑on leadership role where you will combine clinical expertise with staff support, quality improvement, and safe service delivery. You’ll help people move forward in their recovery while making sure the home delivers care that is safe, respectful, and well run.

This is a hands‑on leadership role where you will combine clinical expertise with staff support, quality improvement, and safe service delivery. You’ll help people move forward in their recovery while making sure the home delivers care that is safe, respectful, and well run.
Hours:
Full time, 39 hours per week.
Location:
This service is based in Basildon, Essex.
About you:
You’ll need:
- Experience working in mental health services
- Experience in a leadership or management role
- Understanding of CQC standards and inspection requirements
- Knowledge of the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding
- Confidence in assessing risk and managing complex situations
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to use electronic care records and basic Microsoft programs
- A kind, respectful, and values‑led approach
You’ll also need flexibility to work across a rota, including weekends or nights if required by the service.
Desirable (but not essential)
- Training in de‑escalation
- Experience supporting CQC inspections or audits
- Full UK driving licence (depending on location)
