Choice Support announce new CEO

The Board are pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Beland as the new Chief Executive of Choice Support when Sarah Maguire retires on 30 April 2025.
For the last 10 years Andrew has worked in the Social Care sector, of which the last five have been spent at the charity, Affinity Trust, which provides support to autistic people and people with learning disabilities in England and Scotland. He is currently their Executive Director of Operations but has also held senior roles in performance, strategy and operational delivery. Prior to that he has worked for a housing association, local government and the police.
Andrew was appointed following a very thorough selection process involving separate panels of people we support, employees, senior leaders and the Board of Management, as well as psychometric tests and service visits. Throughout the process, Andrew demonstrated a clear alignment with Choice Support’s values and a commitment to improving peoples’ lives. He set out a clear and positive vision for the future of Choice Support. Andrew also showed a passion for listening to people’s voices and promoting diversity and inclusion.
Andrew said: “I’m delighted to be joining Choice Support and continuing the great work that is clearly already happening across the organisation. Having met Sarah, different colleagues, and people we support during the recruitment process, I can honestly say that I already feel so welcome, and can’t wait to get started."
We will let you know as soon as Andrew’s start date has been agreed. Once he starts work, we are sure that he will want to meet as many people as possible as part of his induction and we are sure that you will all join us in welcoming him to Choice Support and helping him feel at home.
