Team Manager
About the Role
We are looking for two supportive and motivated Team Managers to join our supported living services in Nottingham. One role is based on Mansfield Road, supporting six adults, and the other is based on Hucknall Road, supporting eleven adults with mental health needs
This is a great opportunity to make a real difference. You will help people build their independence and live fulfilling lives in their own homes and local community. The role is varied, fast-paced, and rewarding.
As Team Manager, you will help oversee the day-to-day running of the service. This includes leading and developing the team, managing risk and safeguarding, and making sure we meet all quality and contractual standards.
Location
You will be based at our service in Nottingham either Mansfield Road or Hucknall Road, but you will also spend time working in the community and attending meetings or training when needed.
Hours
This is a full-time role (39 hours per week). You will work flexibly to meet the needs of the service, including helping with rotas and ensuring safe staffing. You will also take part in the on-call rota, with occasional evening or weekend work if needed.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has at least 2 years’ experience in social care or mental health support, ideally in supported living, residential, or community services
- Understands how to support people with mental health needs, including managing risk and recognising when someone may need extra support
- Is either qualified to Level 3 in Health & Social Care and Leadership & Management, or happy to work towards these
- Has a good understanding of key legislation such as the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding
You will also be confident in leading a team. This includes:
- Supporting and supervising staff
- Carrying out supervisions, spot checks, and competency checks
- Helping staff develop and improve
- Supporting recruitment, inductions, and training
You will be organised and comfortable with record-keeping and care systems, and you will understand the importance of accurate documentation and confidentiality.
