Sarah Maguire, our CEO, reflects on what Martin Luther King said, “If I can’t do great things, I can do small things in a great way,” and Sarah thinks this really is a sentiment for our times.
Hello, the vlog this week is called ‘Small great things.’ This weekend the clocks go back, and we start to look forward to winter celebrations. This year we share a sense of uncertainly as we look forward to things like Halloween, Bonfire Night, Diwali, Hanukkah, Christmas and I suppose life in general.
There’s so much that is out of our control but that doesn’t mean we can’t do things that make a difference. Martin Luther King said, “If I can’t do great things, I can do small things in a great way,” and I think this really is a sentiment for our times.
We can all do small things that make a huge difference to how we feel, and how others feel. So, whether it’s volunteering an hour of your time for a great project in your local community, or working out how to create great celebrations with family and friends in new ways, I know, we can all do small things that make us and our loved ones feel great.
